Create New Account
If it is your first time visiting this website...
1. Click Activate Your Account
3. Enter your Student ID and your Date of Birth
4. Enter a Valid Email Address (i.e. you@hotmail.com or you@students.bcu.ac.uk)
5. Then assign a Password to yourself
6. Click Register
Validate new website account
Once you create your new account you need to validate it by doing the following:
1. Go to the Email Account entered at stage 4 above.
2. In the email sent by the Union’s website, click on the link provided to validate your account
3. Your account has now been validated. You can now go back to the Union website and enter your login details (i.e. your student id, password is the one you chose when you created your new website account)
Access University email account
1. Open this web site address in your web browser https://newstudents.bcu.ac.uk
2. Enter your user name and password. This has already been sent to you in a letter from the University.
3. Read thoroughly the terms and conditions, enter your date of birth, and click agree.
4. You will automatically access the welcome page for new students. Click on the OWA link and then on the Login to OWA.
5. Input your user name and password again
If you have any problems or would like further assistance to gain access to your University email you can email newstudents@bcu.ac.uk.
Forgotten Student id
Students: The student id required is the 11 digit Student ID found on your University ID card.
