Council is of the utmost importance for the university as it is the official forum to get results, you get the chance to voice your opinions, suggestions and concerns and most importantly be there while all the decisions are being made.
What do I get out of it?
Being a member of student council not only gives you the satisfaction of really making a difference and having your voice heard, but you also get to gain valuable material and a number of skills for your CV that perspective employers are always looking for. All members of Student Council are given full training and support that will help improve your communication, organisation, negotiation and team working skills.
