Minibus/Transport
Any sports team or society can hire a mini bus through the Students’ Union. This can be used for social activities for the group or transport to and from fixtures.
However, the minibus will not drive itself and therefore an individual from your club or society needs to volunteer to drive on each occasion. Some journeys may however need 2 or more drivers depending on the length of the journey, whether or not the original driver will be playing sport etc…
To drive the minibus, you must undertake a minibus competence assessment with the Student Activity Department.
To take this test you need to meet the following criteria:-
• Over 21 years of age
• Have a Full clean UK driving license
• Have 2 years driving experience
• You must have your paper copy and license card on the day of your assessment to be copied.
