Crime Prevention Message

West Midlands Police would like to welcome you back to a new term and wish you all a Happy New Year

It is very likely that you have returned with several new items, and more than a few will be expensive and desirable. Please make sure you take good care of all your stuff. Don’t leave anything unattended and if possible transport it in a way that doesn’t show it off.

We know you will also be hoping to enjoy the great social life Birmingham has to offer. Working together with our partner agencies we will be doing our best to keep you safe. We rely on you to help us, by taking care, especially when out drinking. Keep with your friends, and have a pre-arranged plan of how you are getting home.
Especially out in the clubs and bars keep an eye on your property, don’t leave bags, mobiles and wallets unattended. If you aren’t looking out for them, someone else definitely is.

When on campus, watch your stuff. Lock your accommodation whenever you leave.
Secure your vehicles and keep valuables hidden, make sure you get a really good lock for your cycle.

Follow these simple guidelines and you can help us keep Birmingham one of the safest cities in the U.K. Millions of people visit each year, it is diverse and exciting and a great place to be a student.

Lets make 2009 safer still.

Remember Play Together/Stay Together
